Having a veterinarian come to your house is a completely different experience than you may be used to.

Most pets are more comfortable remaining in their own home, as opposed to having to go in the car, or being loaded into a carrier.  Plus, it’s convenient for you since you save the driving and waiting time.  Your pet avoids stressful interactions with unknown animals, especially other types of animals. Cats in particular can become very agitated and upset with dogs in their vicinity. Don’t just take our word for it though – click here to read some reviews from our Clients on Google!

Arranging for an in-home vet appointment is especially beneficial for senior pet owners and older pets where mobility and travelling become an issue, or for owners that may not have a vehicle.  And if you have multiple pets, we can complete the check up of all of your pets in one visit, as opposed to making multiple appointments or trips.

Your in-home visit is typically 25-30 minutes in length, allowing you to ask any questions you like and get whatever information you need to ensure your pet’s health and happiness.

It’s very simple! You schedule an appointment when it’s convenient for you, and we’ll show up at your door and provide the services you need — an exam, nail trim, vaccinations, blood work, or anything else required.

A typical appointment lasts about 25-30 minutes, and you have ample time to ask any questions you’d like.  We take payment while we’re there and provide any needed prescriptions as well.

We guarantee that you’ll be pleased with our service, or we’ll refund the cost of your exam.

Vets To Go can do about 85% of the services that can be done in a traditional clinic, including:

  • Annual check ups and physical examinations
  • Vaccinations and medications
  • Implanting microchips and records reporting
  • Travel health certicates and documents
  • Lab testing and specimen collection of all types
  • Stitching and suturing of small wounds
  • Administering subcutaneous fluids
  • Examination and testing of lumps and bumps
  • Anal gland expression and trimming of nails
  • Application of soft paws and cat shaves
  • Nutritional assessments and consultations
  • Diabetes diagnosis and follow-up care plans
  • Veterinary Hospice Care
  • Compassionate in-home euthanasia and after-care
  • & More!

Plus, anything that can’t be done at home such as surgery, dental care, or x-rays can be done in a clinic environment as needed to make sure your pets gets all the care they need to stay healthy! If you have any questions about our services or fees, please give us a call at 1 (888) 995-8387 or click here to have our Welcome Kit emailed to you, which outlines our services and fees in more detail.

So here it is – the #1 question we get: “How Much?”

We’d love to post them here, but unfortunately, we’re not allowed to publish our fees on our website because of Alberta Veterinary Medical Association rules. 🙁  But, if you request our Welcome Kit online we can personally email you everything you need to know about our services and fees. Generally speaking, our clients tell us that our fees are competitive with other alternatives and that they experience less stress by using our services (as do their pets). Don’t just take our word for it though…read more about what our clients have to say about us here.

If you have any questions about our services or fees, please give us a call at 1 (888) 995-8387 and we’d be delighted to help you!

If finances are a challenge right now, we also offer our clients instant veterinary financing so pets can get the medical care they need without having to pay all at once or take on high-interest credit card debt. This gives our clients the option to have their payments for surgeries, dental cleanings, and advanced diagnostics spread out over a period of time instead of having to make one large payment all at once. Some of our financing options are event interest-free and we’ll pay the interest for you! Learn more about our financing program by clicking here.

We’ve made it super-simple to get the prescription medications, supplements, and supplies that your pets need! Our mobile vets carry a small pharmacy with them, which includes the most commonly prescribed medications, and they can dispense meds onsite during your appointment if needed. For anything that can’t be dispensed during your appointment, your vet will send your prescription to our in-house veterinary pharmacy where we’ll fill it for you. You can either pick up your pet’s order if you’re in the Calgary area or have it delivered (usually within two days) by Canada Post in both Edmonton and Calgary!

For added convenience, we also offer our clients the ability to order pet food, supplements, and supplies online and have them delivered directly to your home! Plus you can set up a recurring order, so you’ll never run out of food or supplements with the added bonus of saving 5% on your order. Our website is restricted to clients-only, but you can get a sneak peek at shop.vetstogo.com.

Not a problem! We can handle some small surgical procedures like small lump and bump removals and stitching minor injuries in the home. For more complex surgical procedures, dental cleanings, or diagnostics like Xray or ultrasound services, our team can handle those in a clinic environment, as needed. Please give our team a call at 1 (888) 995-8387 if you have any specific questions about our surgical or diagnostic services!

Yes! We believe that every pet owner deserves to play an active role in making the right decisions for their pet and to confidently make those decisions without fear or guilt – and that’s what we provide at Vets To Go! Many of our patients are on raw diets, and we believe that feeding raw and incorporating alternative therapies such as acupuncture, massage and chiropractic care can be an important part of a healthy lifestyle for some pets. You’ll find that our Vets are open-minded and willing to discuss the best diet and treatment options for your pet based on their medical needs and your lifestyle. While special diets or alternative therapy treatments may not be right for all pets or medical conditions, you can rest assured that our Team has your pet’s best interest at heart.
