Now that we’ve finally got some fabulous weather in Edmonton, it’s a great time to head out and explore the city with your furry friend by your side! We’ve compiled a list of dog-friendly Edmonton attractions and entertainment, patios, shopping and lodging to give you some new ideas for your next doggy date. This Whyte Ave pub has two dog-friendly patios where you can hitch your dog up while you enjoy a pint and they enjoy a bowl of water.

Take your best friend in to enjoy a full meal or a treat in a restaurant created just for dogs! They offer a variety of food types, including raw, and have onsite grooming for your furry friend as well.

Cafe patrons can use a bike stand located just outside the patio to hitch up their dogs.

Leashed and well-socialized pets are welcome on-site at the museum. They do have guardian cats in their workshop and occasionally members’ dogs as well. Pet waste must be cleaned up and disposed of to keep the museum ground clean.

A gateway to the heart of Edmonton’s River Valley, the John Janzen Nature Centre takes visitors for a walk on the wild side with programs, events and interactive exhibits designed to promote awareness and engagement with nature in an urban setting. On-leash dogs are permitted on the walking trails and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.

All pets that stay at the hotel are VIPs (Very Important Pets). Just let them know you’re bringing your pet when you make a reservation. Upon arrival, you and your pet will be greeted by our lovely front desk staff where you can ask for “doggy bags” and a special treat for your furry family member. You’ll find their South Edmonton location is as pet-friendly as we are with an amazing river valley and many trails and off-leash dog parks. Pet fee is $20/per pet, per day and there are no size restrictions.

Hotel Macdonald | 10065 100th Street, Edmonton | 1-780-424-5181

They are happy to accommodate a dog dish and bed in the room, should you request it, at no additional cost. There is no size restriction, however, the pet does require a kennel should it be left unattended. Pet fee is $25 per pet, per day.

    Bubbles is also pet friendly. My dog has always been allowed to come inside when my car is getting washed.

    El Cortez IS NOT PET FRIENDLY. They have been audited by the health inspector and require a license that they do not have.
